NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON BAILE BOGÁIN (BALLYBOGGAN) DRAFT MASTERPLAN

 

Dublin City Council’s Planning, Property & Economic Development Department has prepared a non-statutory Draft Masterplan to address opportunities for urban regeneration for lands located at Dublin Industrial Estate and environs, Dublin 7 and Dublin 11.

The Draft Masterplan, which includes an urban design framework, provides a vision to enable the compact and sustainable mixed-use regeneration and redevelopment of the area in accordance with the Core Strategy of the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028.

The Draft Masterplan will be subject to a statutory Development Plan Variation to enable its implementation with individual development proposals subject to separate additional assessment as part of the planning consent process. The Draft Masterplan is subject to Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Appropriate Assessment (AA) and Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA).

A copy of the Draft Masterplan, together with accompanying environmental reports is available for inspection from Monday 14th April 2025 to Monday 12th May 2025 inclusive, online at:  https://consult.dublincity.ie/ .

Or at the following locations during normal opening hours (excluding Good Friday and Bank Holidays):

  • At Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Planning Public Counter, Ground Floor, Block 4, Wood Quay, Dublin 8, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm.
  • At Cabra Area Office, 97 New Cabra Road, Dublin 7, Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1pm.
  • At Finglas Civic Centre, Mellowes Road, Dublin 11, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

How to Make a Submission/Observation:

Written submissions or observations regarding the Draft Masterplan are invited from members of the public and all other interested parties during the period Monday 14th April 2025 to Monday 12th May 2025, inclusive. Individuals, groups, organisations or representatives, as well as children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are invited to make submissions or observations.

All submissions or observations received with respect to the Draft Masterplan made to the Planning Authority up to 4.30pm, Monday 12th May 2025, will be taken into consideration.
